Some songs from Indian films are simply outstanding.
And since I love dancing and theatre, those with an element of dance are also my favourites.
Whats better is when the entire things comes together beautifully on screen. This one almost does...
When I first heard it, I had it on loop for a long time and still haven't got tired of it.
This has voices of both Shankar Mahadevan and Kamal Hassan who does an excellent rendering of the Kathak instructions- almost as good as the real masters would have sung to their students.
I had been warned about the movie, and am really not in the mood for watching those tiresome OTT movies. So I wait for the youtube video.
the song from the film is a little disappointing though watchable. However the 'making of' video is good which shows all the stalwarts behind this right from Birju Maharaj, Shankar Mahadevan and team, and Javed Akhtar and Shabana (both fans of lord Krishna).
If you follow Tamil the Tamil version 'Unnai Kaanadhu Naan' is supposedly better in terms of lyrics than the Hindi one.
But overall, such a lovely song - simply loved it.
